Learn how to scale with confidence by building systems that grow with your business with Mike Miles!

February 24th, 2026 | 10:00 AM PT

Growth is exciting, but without the right systems in place, it can quickly turn into chaos. When businesses scale, complexity often outpaces clarity which hinders strong decision making and leaves founders stretched thin and teams misaligned. Sustainable growth doesn’t come from working harder—it comes from building the right operating and leadership systems early.

The Nasdaq Center is excited to be joined by Mike Miles— Founder, Mentor, Executive Coach, and Strategic Advisor— to share practical guidance for founders and leaders navigating the transition from early traction to scalable execution. We'll explore how to design operating and leadership systems that support repeatable execution, clearer decision-making, and alignment across your organization—without adding unnecessary friction or bureaucracy.

Key Takeaways:

  • Learn how to create systems that enable consistency and accountability as your team grows.
  • Discover leadership frameworks that support better decisions and reduce founder bottlenecks.
  • Understand how to add structure without slowing momentum or losing your culture.

Meet our special guest

Founder, Milestone Leadership | Fractional COO | Executive Coach | Startup Mentor | Board Chair, Watson Institute

Michael has spent most of his career leading the development and launch of global B2B and B2C software products across startups and Microsoft. Before joining Microsoft, he led engineering at two early-stage companies, including a pre-IPO startup that became SAP Concur. During his 20-year career at Microsoft, he served as a software engineering executive, launching multiple new global consumer products and leading teams across Europe, Africa, Asia, and North America.

Today, Michael is the founder of Milestone Leadership, where he works as a fractional COO, executive coach, and advisor to senior leaders and mission-driven startups. He serves as Board Chair at the Watson Institute, where he supports emerging social impact entrepreneurs, and continues to mentor early-stage ventures. He previously taught entrepreneurship and social innovation as a professor and mentor-in-residence at the University of Arizona.

When he's not supporting founders or coaching executive teams, Michael is likely on a long run, skiing, mountaineering, or apologizing to his wife for doing all three.

Michael holds a B.S. in Computer Science and Mathematics from Cal State San Bernardino and a Global Executive MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France.
